Range Rover SV is the most luxurious and personalized version of the Range Rover, built by Land Rover’s SV (Special Vehicles) division. It adds exclusive materials such as ceramic controls, unique paint and wood finishes, bespoke personalization and, in some versions, a four-seat rear configuration with a “SV Signature Suite” — including reclining seats, a refrigerator and a fold-out table. It positions the Range Rover alongside the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Bentley Bentayga and Mercedes-Maybach GLS.

From SVAutobiography to SV

The previous Range Rover’s top model was the SVAutobiography, which introduced the long-wheelbase executive layout. With the current generation, Land Rover made SV its own tier, with themed collections and a bespoke program comparable to Rolls-Royce’s.

The SV Signature Suite

The long-wheelbase SV can be ordered with a four-seat layout in which the right-rear passenger enjoys an “SV Signature Suite”: an extending leg rest, a seat that reclines deeply, a refrigerator, and a powered table and cupholder console that rises from between the seats. It is designed for chauffeured owners.

Materials

SV introduced white or black ceramic for controls like the gear selector and drive-mode dial, with engraved detailing. Other options include mosaic marquetry in the wood, sustainably sourced wool blends as alternatives to leather, and exclusive paint colors.

Who buys it

SV buyers typically want a vehicle that can be driven in the country and chauffeured in the city — the classic Range Rover promise, taken to its extreme. For group travel, full-size three-row SUVs like our Cadillac Escalade offer more seats and luggage space.
